This indenture made this 26th day of October one thousand

Eight hundred and eleven between Thomas Moore and Polly his wife of

County of Harrison and state of Kentucky of the one part and James

Lindsay of the county and state aforesd of the other part witnesseth that the said

Thomas Moore and Polly his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty

Pounds twelve? Shillings & four pence lawful money of the state aforesd to them in hand

Paid before the ???? and delivery of these presents the receipt  Accept whereof they do

Hereunto acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge him the said James Lindsay

His heirs executors and administrators have bargained sold aliened ?? and confirmed

And by these presents do bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said James

= Lindsay and his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land

situate in the county and state aforesd on the waters of Mill creek

waters of the south fork of Licking and bounded as follows to wit

Beginning at a sugar and buckeye corner to David Lindsay thence

North fifty and a half degrees west one hundred & sixty seven poles to a

Stake another corner to David Lindsay thence north forty five degrees

East eighty eight poles to two elms near sink hole in Coleman Browns

Land thence south forty five degrees east one hundred sixty two

Poles to a hickory and dogwood sapling on David Caldwells line thence

South forty two and half degrees west seventy poles to the beginning

Containing by estimation eighty one and a quarter acres be the same

More or less to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances

Thereunto belonging or any way wise pertaining thereto and the rents (Issues?)

And profits thereof also all the estate right title & property

Claim and demand whats ???? of him the said Thomas Moore his heirs

And assigns and all persons claiming under him or them unto him the

Said James Lindsay and his heirs and assigns will forever warrant and

Defend and it is further agreed and understood that in case the aforesd tract

Of land should at any time hereafter be taken by and better or prior claim than

That of the said Thomas Moore in that case the said Thomas Moore binds himself

His heirs ?? to refund to the said Lindsay or his heirs or assigns the sum of twenty

Pounds twelve shillings and four pence (the amount of the purchase money

As aforesd) with legal interest thereon from the nineteenth day of November

One thousand seven hundred and eighty seven for witness whereof the said

Thomas Moore and Polly his wife have hereunto set their hands and affirm

Their seal on the day and year first above written

and freely and Without being induced thereto by fear or threats of or

ill usage by her Said husband or fear of his displeasure given under

our hands and seal This 26th day of October 1811.
