BILL of SALE: DAVID LINDSAY TO ZACHARIAH CONNELL

November 1787

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
David Lindsay is on his way to Bourbon County Kentucky (soon to be Harrison County) where he purchases property on Mill Creek from his friend Thomas Moore. Here is the document conveying David's Fayette County Pennsylvania lands to Zachariah Connell, local neighbor since at least 1772.
Apparently David's property is claimed via "Tomahawk Rights" because no Pennsylvania warrant was ever issued to him. Connell patents the property and names it "Mud Island" and soon it will be the downtown site of Connellsville Pennsylvania, generously founded by Connell himself.
Examining the signature of David Lindsay below leaves no question that it is the same man who signed the multiple Harrison County Kentucky marriage bonds seen elsewhere in this website.
gggGrandfather David Lindsay arrived in SW Pennsylvania ca 1772 and left in 1787.
